I have found that bottling it up is pointless. It comes out sooner or later anyway. It only becomes stronger if left don't you agree? In fact if rolls off you in waves after a while.

It depends what is causing you pain~ if it is pain from loving someone~ focus on that, and take the positive part of that pain to affect the changes that will end the pain.
Call on the Goddess dear one ~ ask her to help you release these feelings you are having~ she will never fail you.

Pain in all of it's forms is best treated by sitting down in a quiet room, alone with just a good sized writing pad and a pen or pencil.

Just sit there for a while, alone with your peace and tranquilty, then simply start to 'doodle'. This will lead to you 'writing'. It doesn't matter what about at this point as your sub-conscious mind is now taking control.

It will instruct you 'what' to write, and you'll probably think you're going bonkers, writing a load of old codswallop for no reason.

Don't give in to your scepticism. Keep writing until you fell 'done', and you will know when you're 'done' don't worry.

Repeat this process daily and your emotional or physical pain will 'drain' itself from your reality. You WILL know when you've cleared yourself, and then, you can go over all that you've written. All that stuff you thought was nonsense, and it WILL all make perfect sense. A light-bulb will go ON in your head and 'life' will become not only 'clear' but 'painless'.

Try it, it definitely works.

Good luck,

Pete.

Ms Crone, Pain (at least emotional pain and SOME physical pain) like other negative energies and forces, can be stored up in your Oolie statue to be put to POSITIVE use at a later time. As your Oolie builds and stores the energies that you ground into it, your burden of negative energy becomes lighter, The Oolie is able to transform that energy into what ever kind of energiy is needed (much as the Earth can do it with Grounded energies) and when an EXRATA burst of energy is needed for some spellwork, Just drop it into some boiling water withing the circle and it'll join with the energies raised by YOU in the spellworking and magnify the total amount of energies raised and, can then be released to accomplish the goal of the spell.

To simply release the energy of your pain wildly into the world is not making the best use of the experience of all the pain. Pain, whle NOT desireable is an excellent source of STRONG energies. Released in an uncontrolled burts (In waves, as you stated it) is essentially wasted energy. As a Witch our concepts tend to flow along the ideas of conservatin and making GOOD positive use of such strong sources of energy fit right in perfectly, with that concept. Don't you agree?

I try an talk about it, even if it's to myself and out loud, but not in mixed company...lol

I have also written them down and ceremonially burnt it, a kind of cleansing...I find this works really well.

After I was made redundent I found it difficult to except for a while. Then I decided to take old paper work and anything else I had that had their company mark on and I burnt it and watched the light smoke melt into the night sky (rather poetic there...lol)...I felt soo much better after that...

Mental pain or physical? I know you mean the mental one .Still for clarity sake, I am asking you. There is some reason for this asking.

Pain is also an important factor that reminds us that body and the soul are completely different .while you can try to do something with external help for body pain , you think menal pain you have to handle yourself. This is a wrong notion . There are people who understand the mental pain and can help you out. No. I am not talking about psychiatrists or counsellors . I am talking about teachers , wise men who are able to tell you how to handle internal pain . This is where Self Knowledge is the most important component. If you understand yourself better you can handle this pain better.

I'm STILL trying to figure that one out :-] I've tried bottling it up, it made me sick, literally.I disappeared in a cloud of drugs for a long time, that didn't work either. I've tried about all you could name, the best thing I've found so far is my councilor. I've known her for something like 6 years, I go to see her once a week, every week. It is liberating to be able to tell someone who doesn't have a vested interest in your life what is going on.

When i go through pain, i just sit...think about what happen. I may have a little tantrum go off, (the "comes out sooner or later" part), but then i realize this pain will just drag me down and i move on.

Nature has provided the medicine of 'crying' when in pain...... the so-called weaker sex utilize this therapy freely without any inhibitions and are thus invariably stronger to manage and come out of any pain. I cry only in the acutest of pains such as deeply felt repentance.

Pain does warp a person's whole personality if left unattended. One has to bring it out in whatever way he thinks best without harming others and at the same time healing self...

Pain is unbearable when it is physical -you become unconscious and start praying ---when it is emotional ---it eases as time heals it ----if it is shared it becomes less but what i do with my pain is "BE WITH IT " My spiritual teacher has said ACCEPT---ALLOW IT TO BE ---EXPERIENCE it and Observe it keenly ---it will manifest itself in some part of the body ---see what thoughts you get at that moment ---see what justifications, reasons you give for the pain,---see what images flashes in your mind ----tell the truth about it to yourself and once your experience of the pain is over it will disappear just in the process of life itself --Noshir
