No, not at all..in fact, I grew up in one of those kinds of families no one would want to be in. I'm not very affectionate because I don't really know how to be that way. But I do want to find someone that I can love and that can love me back, and I know that there would be a lot of love in my family if I ever got married and have children. I wouldn't want them to go through the hell that I personally went through.

No, I was raised in an abusive family....yes, I am an affectionate person today. But, there are some people
I'm not comfortable being around or be affectionate with....

I was brought up in an extremely affectionate family. My husband was not. We, the kids and myself keep working on him.

if by affectionate you mean a father who beat the snot out of me every time the wind blew than I'd have to say yes but if you mean a loving ,caring family setting than no,as for me no I'm not affectionate at all I'm not very trusting of others for starters.

Yes I was and am affectionate toward my children, my family and close friends but not a "touchy feely" kind of person to people I don't know well.

But that has made me a very affectionate person ........ craving for affection all the time and finding none !!!!
I suppose it does leave a void of some sort in yr life, that u tend to fill, by showering people with affection !!!

My Father Was very affectionate with me, My mom is not. I am VERY VERY affectionate...I love to hug everything and everyone even pillows :)
