this might be the best question of the day.
That is true, I'm not sure who I want to win the division, I don't know who I would want the Tribe to play, I have faith in my team either way.
Indians fan win or lose.

Well, I agree that a team should go ahead and celebrate a playoff berth, but I understand what you're saying. They shouldnt be celebrating a Wild Card spot, they should have clenched the division 20 games ago, with this lineup.
It's like the old shirt slogan goes "I spent all this money on this team, and all I got was this lousy wild card spot".
EDIT:
Are you guys kidding me, down there? This doesnt have to do with hating the Yankees.
The Yanks have a monster monster MONSTER lineup. The OP isnt saying that they SHOULDNT be celebrating, he is saying that this lineup should be blowing teams out of the water, just like Jordan and the Bulls in the 90's. They should have been celebrating a playoff spot 20-25 games ago, but instead, they're popping bottles after beating TB for a WILD CARD SPOT.
Meanwhile Cleveland started making playoff reservations over the weekend.
It's got nothing to do with fan hatred.

Undefeated in baseball? What is that old Truthful saying it is really a 62 game season!!!1 Every team is going to win at least 50 and lose at least 50 games making it a 62 game season. Been proven true for how many years? 75 or 80 years in a row.

What are you new to baseball? Every single year, every team that makes the playoffs celebrates like that. It's nothing out of the ordinary and has been going on for years, regardless of how they got there.
I didn't hear any complaining when the Twins were celebrating last year. Or how about when the Sox won the card in '04. Why weren't you pissing and moaning then? You're a typical biased Yankee hater.

The Yankees deserve to celebrate. They came from 14 down and made it a race and really earned the wild card spot. Yankee haters are just jealous. Go A-Rod. Go Yankees.

All teams who make play-offs celebrate. Does your team ever celebrate after clinching a play-off spot or does your team never make play-offs & you can't stand it & no team goes undefeated in baseball. I guess you don't understand baseball. Don't be jealous of the Yankees just because your team sucks dude.

I hate the Yanks but they definitely deserved to celebrate after coming back & having the 2nd half of a season like they did.
GO SOX!
the Sox celebrated as well when they clinched the wildcard at worst. They just did it in a more subdued manner w/ a champagne toast before letting the reporters in that night.
