It might happen that your Cd Drive is disabled or uninstall.
Reinstall your Drive
Right Click on "My Computer" - Click Properties.
Click on Hardware - Click on Device Manager
Right Click - Click on Scan Hardware for Changes.
Click on DVD/CD-Rom Drive - Right click on the name of your Drive - Click on Properties.
Check if the drive is disabled. Check the Device Status & use Troubleshooter.
or
Control Panel - Add New Hardware - Go according to the instructions.
JUST BE SURE ABOUT YOUR DRIVE HARDWARE BY CONNECTING YOUR CD ROM TO ANOTHER SYSTEM.
