Well unless the mayans knew something we don't than no, but they do have a better calendar system. No one, thus far, can predict the future, theres no telling what could happen, but to any modern day knowledge, there is no such evidence of the world ending on 12/21/2012. I believe you have your dates wrong.
Besides if you want to get technical that would be next year, do to the gap of time between B.C. and A.D. it's approximately a four year gap

December 23rd? I thought it was December 21st. Why can't you decide on the right date of the end of the world. You've been predicting it for centuries and, every single time, the world doesn't end, and it's "Oops, sorry, my mistake, wait till next time..."
I hope I live until December 24, so I can laugh once again at another failed "end of the world"!

There's gonna be a war, we'll (US , Russia, China, N Korea n' Iran) threaten to use nukes and aliens will stop us. It will be our first contact. Capitalism will fall, the world will become much more peaceful. Tensions are going to rise from 2008 on.

No,not the end of the world, I believe it's going to be the day when there will be flying cars and when Eliens will envade the gallaxy.It could also be the day when Girls wil be Boys and every creature on the universe will be talking and their language can be understood by every living things and robots.that could also be the day when God starts judging every body according to what he or she did on the earth before................

yeah its gonna be the end of the world. so you and your friends should go buy matching nike shoes and prepare for your journey. why do people believe this junk? every generation has some magical date of when they believe the world will end. When it does end i doubt we will be able to predict it.
