The ones who are saying Auburn are partially correct. It's actually a kit car of an Auburn 851/852, which were built in 1935-36, I believe. Even though they were a medium-priced car, they had style that has made them as collectible as some more expensive machinery.

Looks like a kit- possibly made by Excaliber, on a Chevy or Cadillac frame I expect.........
OOPS- I stand corrected. I think it IS the Auburn.

maybe an old Studebaker..don't laugh but that is what the grill and hood ornament look like to me..the flex pipe however, is more reminiscent of a cord
edit: oops..the auburn answer appears to be correct *LOL* had a look after I posted..drat this slow typing of mine!!!
