The first tie-breaker in a three-way for seedings is head-to-head record; if one team has advantage over the other two, that team gets the #1 seed.

Boston did win the season series against Anaheim (6-4) and Cleveland (5-2), and so would gain the #1 seed in the event they all tied.

Anaheim and Cleveland tied their season series (5-5), so they would move to the second tiebreaker (in the three-way scenario), intradivision record. Currently Cleveland is 46-23 (.667) against the Central with three to play in Kansas City, while Anaheim is 30-24 (.556) against the West with three to play in Oakland. Even if the Angels swept and the Indians tanked, Cleveland would have the better intradivisional winning percentage, and get the #2 seed.

ALDS Game 1 matchups would then be:
New York (4) at Cleveland (2)
Anaheim (3) at Boston (1)

If somehow the Yankees end up winning the East, they hold advantage over Cleveland (6-0) but not Anaheim (3-6), so breaking that tie is somewhat muckier.

The Red Sox would win the tiebreaker, due to having the highest head to head record:

Red Sox 11-6
Angels 9-11
Indians 7-10

Then it's between Angels and Indians, which gives the Indians second place due to a higher division record (since they are 5-5 head to head)

Places would be
1. Red Sox
2. Indians
3. Angels

As of now I think the places would be straight up
1. Indians
2. Red Sox
3. Angels

Red Sox would also win a tie breaker over the Indians head to head (5-2)

I also posted the rules for my information source.

Tie Breaker goes to team with best head to head and then from there they have a coin flip.
