If you're sad, people say you're blue. If you're envious, you're green with envy. if you're angry, you see red. If you're happy, you're tickled pink. What's with the relationship between colors and emotions? And can you think of others?

Cowardice is yellow
You can be white with rage
You can be in a grey fog or a grey funk
If your are beige you are blah
When you are stoned and forget a chunk of time it is a "black out"

there is even a course called color theories in university, colors can make you feel a certain way, it has certain effects of us when we see them
Red is the color of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love.
Orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. It is associated with joy, sunshine, and the tropics. Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, sucess, encouragement, and stimulation.
Yellow is the color of sunshine. It is associated with joy, happiness, intellect, and energy.
Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green has a strong emotional correspondance with safety. Dark green is also commonly associated with money.
Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven.
Purple combines the stability of blue and the energy of red. Purple is associated with royalty. It symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, and ambition.
White is associated with light, goodness, innocense, purity, and virginity. It is considered to be the color of perfection.
Black is associated with power, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery.

i am not quite sure to be honest!... i think its got something to do with the "7 deadly sins" but not 100% sure
