I can't really tell you what there is to do in Washington D.C., but I can tell you about the West Coast, since I live there. If your into music there are a lot of places you could go. For example, The Gorge Amphitheatre. Maybe that is too far , since it's located in Eastern Washington. But everyone says that if you live on the West Coast you should at least go once.( Okay not everyone, but I like to exaggerate.) Then, there are the usual museums, zoos, and other tourist attractions. It all depends on your taste. Seriously, Seattle and Portland are big cities, so they have lots of stuff you can do. You just have to ask around, and do some research. If your not into the whole 'asking strangers what they think in person' just go out to the downtown area, and explore. You are sure to find a few interesting places. But when you go exploring be sure to get a tour guide map, so you don't get lost. Well hope this helped a little I know I only talked about the Gorge, but seriously don't worry you'll find stuff to do here. It's another country not another planet. We still have bars, clubs, theatres, malls, museums, zoos, and weird places (i.e. places where people wonder how they are still open). Anyway, hope I was of some help. :)

Google the area and it will give you some great ideas! I have a good friend that lives in Portland and it rains alot but he says he will never live anywhere else- the beauty of the area is amazing.
