Per capita, the south, Texas, and Florida have the highest rates of cops getting murdered. Why is this? Why don't these areas crack down on crime, and eliminate this sort of thing? Why are they so soft on crime?

Go through the stats by state. Texas especially is WAY ahead of the others. And its murder rate is above the national average. Why is Texas so soft on murder? Instead of executing only a few dozen murderers per year, why not execute a few hundred?

I don't believe that they are soft on crime. I believe that these southern states have cops that think they are "cowboys" and think that they are invincible! I think that their mouths and overzealous actions might be some of the reasons that they are getting killed.

Well, whatever Florida has, Texas has the problem that it is down in the 40's on anything that has to do with lifting people out of poverty including education, medicine, insurance, work training, being grouped with Mississippi and Alabama in many areas. Yet the poor people get the same attitude toward guns and killing as all Texans. And the poor people are largely black, not just Hispanic and not just illegals.

Hey drake, 30 states allow concealed carry and in my state, violent crime dropped 2% this year. so much for liberal values. The reason crime is so high in those states is that those two states have a high population of illegal immigrants....

Not being soft. We go after the bad guys and sometimes pay the price. The rest of the country..what do you do? Well??...look at what you do about criminals. We execute you if you want to kill people and do heinous crimes here. What do you do?

Drug dealers. Texas gets a lot of drug smuggling through the borders between Texas and Mexico. Florida receives a lot of drugs through shipment freight at docks.
