Portable fire extinguishers. Automatic fire extinguishers. Engine compartment cameras. Fire alarms and smoke detectors. Raw water pumps and hoses. Buckets. Fuses on all electrical. Proper wire type and routing. Spark arresters on engines. Proper alternator. Blower system and good ventilation. Proper re-fueling techniques.

There are a few pointers for "fire protection in vessel". That was the question, right?

The vessel must be follow SOLAS procedure:
-Crew familiar about fire fighting & breathing protection.
-Fire fighting Equipment must be completed.
-The fire procedure shall be mentioned on the fire Contingency Plan.
-Routine conduct Fire Drill.
-For operator vessel, ship owner, other related party always think safety first.
Make sure in SOLAS (IMO)
