My boyfriend rented a room out of a 6 bedroom house. A few months into doing this , he asked me to move in with him. I moved into the room he was renting with him, and we have been living here together from January of 07. I never signed a lease and we were going to move out due on Oct.1 2007. Our other home fell thru and got rented to somone else. My boyfriend is out of town, and i am here and the other roomates asked me to leave. Can they kick me out of the house even thou we still paid rent for all of Sept. We still have 4 days left. Can they tell me to leave because i never signed a lease and i am tresspassing. They threatened to tow my car and everything. Who is in the right!

Help please!

I don't mean to be a smartass, but you really should consult a real attorney, rather than hoping for some free legal advice here of questionable quality.

Technically you are not on the lease so you have no right to be there except as a guest of your boyfriend and he is not there. I was just move out and be done with it. Your boyfriends things can be there until the day he is to be out, but remember the room must be clean on the move out day.

The other roommates have no standing to kick you out. They could complain to the landlord and get him to kick you out. Why are they being such pricks over four days? I suspect your boyfriend didn't offer to pay any extra on the rent or utilities when you moved in.
