I have very few, it took a long time but I have slowly replaced each VHS tape with the DVD version. I just hope they don't change formats again.

I really wish I hadn't sold/given them away...they worked so much better than the DVDs. DVDs don't last long at all...without skipping, etc. I do have that combo tape/DVD player...I wish I still had the tapes...much better quality.

I never bought many prerecorded tapes, but i still have a box full that never get played anymore. next thing you know, i'll be saying the same thing about blu-ray discs.
a better question would have been to ask what obsolete or virtually obsolete audio and video formats do people still have? i've got a few.
i guess i should hang on to the tapes in case i need some rope (ala castaway) to build my raft

No, especially with BluRay out, VHS tapes are extremely outdated.

We still have a couple dozen VHS tapes, but mainly stuff that we're too cheap to purchase on DVD. It is mainly stuff that we don't watch that often.
