The dirty secret is that Ethanol burns dirtier then a good formulated gasoline. It also requires nearly as much energy to make it as it delivers.

It's another gov't boondoggle. Why does the gov't always choose to back the wrong solutions. Why can't it just set a goal and reward those who come up with good solutions, whatever they be.

I think the weather has more to do with it right now, but they are using ethanol production as an excuse to raise prices! Ethanol can be created from many other plants besides corn, as can animal feed. Until more people start using ethanol, they are not going to produce a whole lot.

But oil is evil, so its O.K. right?
