Have you ever written a great play or novel that touched the hearts of countless people? Ever painted a masterpiece that has been embraced by generations? Ever developed a cure that wiped out a disease? Ever spent your life trying to make life more bearable for those living in poverty?
Have you ever even risked your life to save another?
Sadly, too many of us are the center of nothing except our own inflated egos.

Who is the 'one' who is trying to do the convincing?...and who is the 'oneself' that needs convincing?
If they are both the same 'person' then there is no convincing required...if they are separate 'persons', what is the nature of their separation?
Aken: I didn't mean it to seem that I was having trouble with the English language...I was chasing the idea that if 'one' knows something, then 'oneself' also knows it, there is no-one to convince. However, the seeming reluctance of 'oneself ' to accept something 'one' knows seems to suggest they are not the same person on some levle...and from my experience, an investigation into the nature of that separation was very revealing and fulfilling. Thanks.

Why ?
Enjoy the feeling while you still have it. Maturity is overrated.
Feeling crappy about yourself is an affliction of the old and the defeated.
Keep a part of that feeling safely tucked inside your heart for a rainy day. Then keep it safe. You are a child of the universe, a reflection of your creators love. You carry inside you a light, a light that in the event of major darkness can guide a group of people into the path to light.

The absolute best way:
start doing things for other people. Especially for those who have nothing. For people who seemingly have no hope. For those who don't even have the luxury of the knowledge of where his next meal with come from.
Then it will start to dawn on a man how small he is in the universe and how his problems don't seem so big anymore.

Read a book on Astronomy. You'll find out that there is no center of the Universe. I mean, we don't even know where the edges are.

He must first ask himself why he is trying to convince himself that he is not the center of the universe.
Why are so many convinced that in order to be a "good" person (by standards unknown to me) one must make themselves feel small? I highly recommend you pick up a book by Ayn Rand before you go trying to convince yourself of your own insignificance.

By learning humility. By being able to laugh yourself silly at some of the stupid crap you find yourself doing at times.
And by learning that if you really WERE the center of the universe wow...wouldn't the rest of humanity be in BIG trouble? Talk about "pressure"....whoa!

Why would you consider yourself as one? you are made up of millions of atoms and molecules, that work together to produce your body and you consciousness. Therefore it is hard to define what a center would be since, were are all made up of the same atoms, they are just moving at different speeds and in different numbers of groups, we are nothing more than that....
