Hi, my sis and her husband are separated, he lives in PR she lives in FL.. she moved here to get better help for her son who has cerebral palsy. the husband cheated on her now, he has 3 kids with this other one and does not want to keep supporting my sis and nephew. he told my sisther he can not pay hor the house any longer and dont want to send her money either. My nephew is almost 21 y.o. and because of his condition he can not work, he is like a baby, everything needs to be done for him.. IS IT OK FOR MY NEPHEW'S DAD TO STOP SUPPORT FOR HIM AND MY SISTER AND JUST LEAVE THEM TO THEIR LUCK??.. IS THERE ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO MAKE THE BASTARD SUPPORT MY NEPHEW FOR LIFE???..PLEASE HELP.

Since they are only separated they are STILL married and your sister's husband is STILL Liable for the support of his son. No, it is NOT okay for him to stop supporting his son whether he WANTS to or not. I suggest your sister get a lawyer ASAP

Child support usually stops at 18 years old. Your sister needs to file for disability for him.
