It won't make a difference. They've already held a press conference saying they will let him go. The Giants are moving on. So should you.

It would not have made a differance- It would have been a wonderful end to his GIANT's career though.

He had already said goodbye on his web site this afternoon.

Actually it was nice that the fans were able to honor him - they had a wonderful video tribute to Barry.

The Giants are not going to be the same without Barry Bonds.

I don't think it would have mattered because I think San Francisco just wants to move on. Bonds is only getting older and the Giants in general are an old team. Bonds would demand a very high salary and Giants management probably feels like that money could be used for better purposes.

Why would it have a made a difference? Tonight's game is meaningless.

Bonds wouldn't have even been a Giant this year if it wasn't for the fact he was going for the homerun record.

I think they would have cut him regardless. But, had he hit home run, there would have been this huge celebration where he received a standing ovation for several miniutes, and it would have been a very special moment. Barry would then say at the conclusion of the game, "that was the greatest home run of my career."

It won't make a difference. They were on the fence about signing him last off-season. They can spend 16 million dollars elsewhere and find a player that can play everyday and play the outfield. Bonds is still a productive player, but is well suited for DHing in the AL. I haven't heard anyone mention this, but I would not be shocked at all if he ended up in a Yankee's uniform.

He could have hit five homers in the game and the Giants still wouldn't keep him!

He can hit 4 homeruns in a row it's not going to matter. Giants made their decision.
