The format was changed to "Survivor" with all the candidates on an island and one getting voted out every week.

I think more people would vote, and we'd get to see what they're really like...

A couple of friends and myself have come up with a superb method of getting to the heart of finding REAL candidates for President !!
In order to BE a candidate -- one should have to spend two years working for one month each at 24 seperate menial jobs --- such as waiter / waitress --- garbage collector --- ditch digger --- etc etc etc --- and, at the end of that two years they would be able to throw their hat into the ring for a nomination
First of all --- it would elliminate -- from the start -- all but the most Serious of those who truly want the job THAT much !!
Then, if they are elected they are FAR more likely to have at least SOME understanding of what it is like for the everyday working stiff in this country to be able to make it from day to day !!!!

That would be something.

I think they should get elected to a "faux country" and issues are hurled at them weekly to see the best performance.

You might be on to something, I kinda like that though I'm not a Survivor fan. Maybe they could "Dancing with the Stars." LOL

The election process must be amended to conform to a selection that will determine the most qualified candidate. Otherwise, the normal process will be adopted since elections must conform to what is provided in the Constitution.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.
