If a person's eyes shine so brightly, not the color or irises, just a bright shining light, and their eyes smile, what does that say about a person's soul?

People I enjoy your answers, but can you elaborate more. Have you met a happy, sad, or hurting person and seen it through the eyes? Stories, please.

Yes. It's the first thing I notice about a person. People with smiling eyes are generally happy people. It isn't that they have had an easier life, necessarily, they have learned how to be happy in spite of the negatives in life. Some people have "haunted" eyes...they have had great sorrow in their lives and not recovered. Dancing eyes can denote mischievousness! I saw that in my children as they were growing up. Your pupils enlarge when you look at someone you love. There are sad eyes, tired eyes, and eyes that are angry. "Shut down" eyes to me say there is a person inside that I don't want to know. They have learned not to let anyone inside and they can cause another a lot of anguish and pain.
I fell in love with someone who had shining eyes once upon a time. I still consider him my soul mate tho we only spent three years together. He is someone I felt I always knew, since before this life. I still feel that way, 30 yrs later. We had different paths to follow but I cherish the time we had.

Edgar Allan Poe as quickly as suggested, whilst finding into the eyes of his lover, that he might desire to work out the depths of his soul via her eyes. There are quite a few different that I surely have heard say this. i understand that whilst sometimes i will tell if somebody is mendacity via finding at their eyes, its not consistently foolproof.

I don't believe by looking at someone's eyes tells you their intentions. Even some of the most vile of humans can have a way of charm and grace. Don't trust everything you see with your eyes or of others.
BTW in this link, there's this one lady (Rosa Kuleshova from Russia) that has shown that our soul can see with other parts of the body.

I once read a book that mentions consciousness resides in all of our body, thus it can see at any locale, not just the eyes. Imagine a 360 degree vision!

I believe they are. How many times do you look into a person's eyes and know what they are saying or feeling. I'm a nurse. Sometimes words aren't needed to know that a patient needs water or simply to just have someone hold their hand.

The eyes do not lie. Neither does body language.
Those two are the most obvious "windows" if you want to call them as such.
I would not be so presumptuous to call what they expose as the persons "soul"

To the first part of your question, I'd say "possibly yes, but some of them could use some Windex to show a clearer picture". But, to the second part of your question I'd wonder which of you is on drugs. Just kidding, but, as a mental health professional with 20+ years experience, now retired, it has frequently been necessary for me to bring a client "back to reality", kind of like the day I was called out in the community to interview God, who happened to be sitting in a child welfare office, for whatever reason I can't now recall. It turns out that he looked like a drunk black man, and sounded like one too, and I committed him to a State psychiatric hospital, AFTER he promised not to be upset with me since I was just guessing he needed some rest after the creation, etc.. In your case, anytime someone describes anothers' eyes as you have, I'd suspect someone has fallen in love, or just gone batty for another, and I'd recommend you back off a bit, maybe take a day of rest, get a good night's sleep, think about what you REALLY see, and then return to the everyday world. I'm not trying to be insulting here. Just recommending a more steady course for you before you make some rash decisions that you may live to regret. Kind of like Alexandra and Rasputin. God Bless you.

In a manner of speaking, yes, the eyes are the windows to the soul.
That's just a catchy phrase that some guy that wrote a book used to get people to buy his book.
Don't put too much credence in fancy book titles...
Good luck

Yeah, it's like people forget that we are not bodies with souls, but souls with bodies. So our bodies are like just transportation for us. The eyes are just ways for us to look outside of our bodies. If your atheist, you probably think I sound crazy, but why would we be bodies without souls if bodies die and rot?

Good Lord, YES! IN the eyes you can read all emotions. You can read lies, fear, love, lust, honesty, loyalty, outrage, devotion - all you need to know about a person.
