they can be very harmful. Anything that will pull away your focus from your marriage is not good for it. It entertains the idea of an affair and people begin to wander if. Take that energy and desire for a relationship and use it on your marriage. That may be the problem.

Look up John Robinson, Kansas, murders on google and answer your own question. Online affairs are probably the most dangerous kind of all because behind the keyboard a person can be anybody they want to be, and you just won't know. Identity theft can make them appear to be someone else, a webcam pointing to someone else's location, you name it, the tricks are out there. And the predators out there are very good at telling their victims exactly what they want to hear in a way that somehow mesmerizes without triggering alarms until it is too late.

That said, you can meet good people online as well. So it isn't cut and dried that online is bad, either. It just requires a lot more care when you can't actually see, hear, check out, and be safe with who you are communicating with.

If you are married, why would you want to do something like this? It is very demeaning and shows you can't be trusted. This is a form of cheating and you need to stop now if you are guilty of it.

How many marriages have broken up because of those who have had online affairs? LOTS so that alone proves it is not harmless.

Well, the guy I used to date got married to someone a year ago this October, and I see that he's got an online personal ad over on Yahoo Personals. You think it's harmless? I don't know. Would you like to be the wife of a man who thinks it's okay to sneak around and betray and lie? Someone needs to warn her before she wakes up with the STD he brings home to her.

its actually the intent of it, and what it could do to the marriage. it also takes time away from the spouse and when your involved in any way with someone else it can make u feel different about your spouse. all affairs begin innocently, with just a conversation, than it goes a little further, than u suddenly may find yourself in a full blown affair. anything u do behind your spouses back is cheating, and will destroy how u feel about your spouse.

No affair is harmless. Spending time talking on-line and flirting with someone is cheating, if you could be with your spouse and are choosing not to.

Stop now before you ruin your relationship for someone who most likely is not at all who you imagine them to be.

Its cheating! Doesn't have to be physical in order to be cheating. Yes on line affairs are harmful! Do you have the balls to ask your spouse if they think it is harmless or not?
