Happiness is waking up every morning and knowing that the day will be a great day... happiness is having friends and loved ones.. happiness is the uncontrollable laughter of a tiny baby and happiness is knowing that you may be alone but you are NEVER lonely... Happiness is an ice cream cone on a HOT July day, or catching a HUGE fish or watching your favorite sports team AT THE STADIUM, or your wedding day, or the birth of your children... happiness is a state of mind...It is light and it is all the colors of the rainbow....it is whatever or WHOEVER makes you smile. It's opening your windows and cranking up the music on the first warm day of spring... Happiness is everything that ISN'T depressing... and happiness is LIFE ......

Happiness means different things to different people. It is an ever changing emotion with different degrees of what we consider to be "happiness". For example, holding a new born baby may make you happy, and getting a new car may make you happy, but the "happiness" which you experience is not the same, even though you are using the same word "happy" for both events.

Happiness is a temporary state of mind. Once you have found out what would make you happy, then you get it, the happiness wears off. Then you need something else to make you happy. So happiness is just a temporary state, contentment is what you look for in life.

Happiness is being OK with all that is. All that surrounds you no matte the circumstances. One can be in a situation that would make anyone sad, and yet appreciate the beauty of all that is. Life, and the blessings that they have.

Serenity and peace of mind are the cornerstones to happiness. You may have many things, but without those you aren't truly happy.
