Neither.
An eye for an eye mean, you take an eye, I'll take an eye. You take a limb, I'll take a limb. You kill one of mine, I'l kill one of yours. You slap, I'll slap. You follow this one, it'll go on until the end of time.
Turn the other cheek, when someone slaps you, turn the other cheek for another slap. What the heck? Someone slaps me, I'll sue him/her. Or if someone insult you, just be quiet.

The best way is to talk things out, negotiate. I'm no coward but I don't like violence either. I like peaceful negotiation.

Gosh, i use "eye for an eye" when i want to get of jury duty, lol. I Guess i mostly agree with "turn the other cheek".

"Eye for an eye" can no longer be lived by in this day and age because there is to many laws preventing this old way of living. If somebody killed someone you can just turn around and kill that person. Although, sometimes it works best when you give someone " a taste of their own medicine."

"Turn the other cheek" is what a lot of people do know days or at least i try too. when somebody hurts you, instead of getting back for give.

I like to use "do unto others as you would have them do unto you"

I strongly believe in, an "eye for an eye."
People who do the wrong thing should be punished the same.
"Turn the other Cheek" is what many other people prefer to do, as they, do not want to get involved.
We all have choices and I am afraid, at times, its not easy to choose the right one.
And of course, it depends on what we are really talking about.

Eye for an Eye: There are people who lack a conscience, who will worsen if the other cheek is turned, leading to more people being harmed beyond you, and so on, until that absence of conscience becomes criminal.

I don't like either.

I would prefer "heart to heart".
