I had an allergic reaction to plums once when I was a kid. We rarely got fresh fruit and someone gave us a huge grocery bag full of plums. I ate way too many of them and broke out from head to toe in the worst itchy hives ever. I didn't eat plums for years, and years. I can eat them now, but I'm always careful to just eat 2-3.

And if I eat too many oranges or tomatoes I get canker sores from too much citric acid.

I sneeze loudly and for hours after I eat corn and anything that contains corn products. I have gone into anaphalactic shock with an herb that in Spanish is called "berra" or "berro" but even after research I cannot identify it's anglicized name. Now I avoid any herbs I do not recognize immediately.

When I was a little boy tomatoes and pizza sauce made my skin rash if I missed my mouth, as it were.

I've outgrown it. I can now get the pizza sauce all over me with no ill effect other than anger over the need of buying a new shirt.

No allergies to food that I know of. However, when I taste onions I feel nauseous like I'm going to vomit. It doesnt matter how small it is, I can taste it. I dont think thats an allergic reaction though, I just hate onions really bad.

I'm allergic to avocados and bananas. And I really like bananas! Especially the frozen ones covered in chocolate! Yummmmm!

I thought I was allergic to cherry, peaches, nectarines, apricots, etc. But my wise doctor suddenly got a shocked look on his face and said it might be what they spray on the trees and not the fruit themselves.....he was right. If I get them organically grown I have no allergic reaction.:)
