I guess you're using 13 7/10 and 11
If you have to use fractions, then
turn them both into fractions
13 7/10 = (13*10+7)/10 = 137/10
11 = (11*10)/10= 110/10
(137 - 110) / 10 = 27 / 10
27 / 10 = 2 7/10
Otherwise, just subtact the whole numbers
13 7/10 - 11 = 13-11 +7/10 = 2 7/10

First, you need to convert your mixed numeral to an improper fraction:
10(13)+7=130+7=137 so it becomes 137/10-11
Next, you need to make 11 into a fraction - you do this by putting it over 1:
137/10-11/1
Now, you need to make both fractions have the same denominator. The easiest way to do this in this case is to multiply your 11/1 by 10/10 giving you:
110/10 which becomes 137/10-110/10
Now you can think of your equation as:
(137-110)/10
Do the subtraction contained in the numerator, and then put the fraction into simplest forms (which includes putting it back into a mixed numeral, if needed):
27/10 = 2 7/10

well first you take one away from the 11 and make that one into a fraction so u have 13 7/10 - 10 10/10 then u dont have enough w/ the 7/10 so u take one away from the 13 and get 12 17/10 - 10 10/10 and that would equal 2 7/10

...I'm not exactly sure what your fraction is...but I'm pretty sure this will be right.
1. Change 13 7/10 into a simpler fraction: 137/10 (13x10+7 over 10)
2. Change 11 into a fraction: 110/10
3. Then substract 110/10 from 137/10
4. You should get 27/10, which simplifies into 2 7/10

okay. first, you have to get something for the 7/10 to subtract, so you make the 11 into a 10, and make the equation read:
13 7/10
- 10 10/10
________
the reason why i said 10/10 is to make the denominators equal. now, i have to make it so that the top is bigger, so you make that whole number (13) and subtract 1 (12) and add the denominator to the numerator (10+1= 17/10) looking like this:
12 17/10
- 10 10/10
_________
then, you simply subtract, getting 2 7/10.

put a one under the eleven
then change the one to a 10 becuase you need common denominators
then times the 7 by 10
now subtract the 11 from the 70
and then put the 13 next to your answer.
if it needs to be turned into a proper fraction, then divide the numerator by the denominator

It's really easy!
Just convert it to a decimal. Like, 13 and 7/10 equals 13.7 . So do 13.7 - 11, and you get 2!
