You are almost 18 years old.
You said she ask you before and you answered honestly, which is very mature of you.
Talk to her honestly about it. Find out why she doesn't want you on birth control and talk to her about it.
I do hope in the meantime you are using condoms or some other form of protection while having sex.

You need to talk to your Mother. you need to let her know what is going on and that if you decide to have sex you are at least being responsible and taking precautions. Not too mention the fact that you are talking to her about it which is huge for any teenager. My daughter and I are very honest with each other. She can talk to me about anything. I am not here to judge, I am here to teach and that involves the good and bad. Be honest with her and if she gets upset then let her know you are going to find a clinic and get birth control and you really wish she could be there with you. To look for clinics just look in the phone book or online. You can also talk to your guidance councelor at school. Good Luck to you hon. Keep in mind that birth control is 100% and it doesn't protect you from diseases. Please use other forms of birth control as well.

I can't really answer your question, but I'd like to offer some advice. I don't know how old you are, but chances are she doesn't want you on birth control because she doesn't want you having sex. You need to level with her, and make her understand that she can't control every second of your life and she really can't stop you from having sex. So would she rather deal with you being on birth control, or deal with you having sex and getting pregnant? Know what you're talking about, and make her sit down and have a real discussion with you. Explain to her that you're educated on safe sex practices, and you'll never have unprotected sex. Accidents do happen though. Tell her she can't stop you from having sex, but can do a lot in preventing an accidental pregnancy.

If you don't have any income planned parenthood will give it to you free and a Pap (that you need). Remember the pill doesn't protect you from STD's. & even if you haven't slept around you dont know who your partner has been with or his ex-partners have been with, or thier ex-partners have been with-get it? Parents tend to be naive when it comes to their kids. They don't wanna believe that they are doing anything wrong. Get it done right away everything is confidential. My mom didn't believe I was dating much less having sex till she found out I was pregnant at 16! I kept putting off the planned parenthood appointment until it was too late! Get the info., and get there!

Hopefully, you are using protection and want the Pill as a backup...
Why does your mom not want you on birth control?
Is it a medical issue or a moral one?
I would not like it if my child was on birth control, because those drugs have dangerous (sometimes irreversible or even deadly) side effects and are horrible for your body.
I hope that you are not trying to use birth control in lieu of condoms...
please be safe.

They will not give it to you for free but you can get it cheaper at Planned parenthood. You really need to discuss this with your mom though and explain what is going on. Also be sure you use a condom every single time even with the pill and if you haven't gotten the HPV shots yet get started on those.

The health dept. But you need to talk to your mom and confide in her. And not sneak behind her back. I hope you are older than 17.
