I think John Steward can be funny. However, like most people who wish to make it in today's mass media market, he goes along with the easy marks and makes sure he stays well within the liberal lines. It is not entirely by accident that pretty much all celebrities are outspoken supporters of liberal causes or keep their mouths shut. Hollywood has not been so completely under the power brokers control since the McCarthy era. This is a sort of left wing version of blacklisting.
Mr. Stewart is doing quite well for such an remarkably droll personality. His name has been tossed about as a possible Leno replacement when Jay retires.

He actually is very funny, and with the current administration he has a wealth of material to draw from. He interviews everyone and they have a good time with him too. I don't know what you have a problem with and where that communist comment comes from, but you probably like the idiots on Fox better. To each his own!

no. Just because you don't like him, doesn't mean he's a communist. Let me guess, he also hates America and loves Al-Qaeda? Hmmm? LMAO!
F yahoo in Ash- that's pretty Un-American of you, wanting your fellow Americans to die in a terrorist attack merely because you disagree with the view of said Americans. Did you feel the same on 9/11? I mean after all, it was in New York, a rather liberal state.

Well some people obviously like him. Whatever happened to the "marketplace for ideas". He seems to be doing pretty well.
Plus he actually knows what a communist is - you clearly do not.

Actually, he is funny. Can you explain his ratings? They are high, and comedy is usually the best way to get high ratings.

back when he was a stand-up comic he lampooned Clinton and his policies. He's willing to make fun of the stupidity in our politicians, regardless of party
