Like makeup or clothing wise?
I'm dark and I really have no idea what colours look good on me, cause most of my friends are really light.
Help?

I'd suggest oranges, yellows, and POSSIBLY reds. I really wouldn't think that blues, purples, and greens would look good with your skin tone. Maybe green if it's done right, though. Just think bright colours.

Go to your nearest mall and find the MAC counter; those folks have the best makeup for darker skin tones. Okay, I'm a MAC freak...and a little biased.

I also happen to think Indian women are beautiful!

Here's some advice for you a la Seasons India:

The eyes can be accented with dark browns, prunes, copper and burgundies. Avoid light, powdery colors and iridescent color that covers the whole eyelid. A light brushing of loose, translucent powder over the lid will give a subtle glow for evening glamour. For the day, use brown or grey eyeliner or eye pencil to line the eyes. Mascara will darken and thicken the eyelashes and give the eyes a glamorous look. Use inky black mascara.

For your blush, you should choose colours from coral, rose, deep orange. Avoid browns and peachy shades for blush-on. For very dark skin, try a dark rose pink colour for the day and shades of bronze, plum and wine for the night. If your nose is wide, slim it by using a camo cream corrector to shade the sides with a darker tone and the top of the nose with a lighter tone. Blend well. For special occasions at night, use a touch of gold. It can really look glamorous on dark skins. Apply it at the temples and under the outer corner of the eyebrows.

Choose lipsticks with matte finish rather than frosted ones. Lip colors with berry shades, plums, burgandies and all shades of browns look great with dark skin. Also beiges, golds and soft pinks work well. Generally these colors work well: Nude pinks, nude beiges, mochas, coffees, mahoganies, chocolates, berry shades, deep berry shades, dark plums, wines, burgundies. Avoid orange shades, they will wash you out.

Gold eyeshadow and stuff and bright colours will look fantastic. Because you are dark, if you wear dark colours it will just not suit.

In this im not sure what type of darkness you are but Tyra looks great in yellow and suits well with her skin. And the purple eyeshadow looks good too.

So go for bright colours and white.

Your best neutrals would be navy, grays, and black.
Best pastels - [ all icy ] pink, yellow, green, aqua, blue, violet
Best brights - bright pinks, magenta, crimson, burgundy, lemon, emerald, pine green, bright turquoise, royal blue, smoke blue, violet, royal purple.
All the colors have blue undertones - avoid any yellow undertones [ orange, tan, lime, olive ].
Use the brights and pastels for tops - they will flatter your face.
Choose makeup colors from above colors.

Honestly experiment. Go to the department stores and try stuff on. For make-up eyeliner in the eyes looks great. Avoid pasty whitish colors. Glossy lips are nice. Try out some diff colors. Make up colors also go based on specific features like big eyes vs small eyes, full lips vs thin lips. Also unless I know your exact skin tone it is hard to tell. Best bet is try stuff. Eventually u'll find stuff that you like and suits you.

Dear Yeoshina:

(beautiful name, BTW : )

Iman [the supermodel] has her own line of make up geared to women of color...

http://www.i-iman.com/i-imanmakeup/products/products.html

Her line is geared specifically to women with darker skin tones. : )

As far as clothes go, you should wear whatever colors YOU like the best -- as long as you like it and you feel comfortable in it -- that is all that really matters! :)
