Wolf good is rabbit evil.
If the wolf always catches the rabbit, it thinks it lives in a world without evil. But in a world truly devoid of evil, no rabbit would ever die in the jaws of a wolf.
Can you see where that might play hell with the ecosystem?
Good and Evil are not separate things; they are in essence a description of which way energy is flowing.
Life competes for available resources. When you get what you want, that's good. If someone takes resources from you, that's evil.
Society complicates the issue. We join together for the common good. But sometimes we cheat the social good for personal good. Which is the origin of the BATTLE between (personal) good and (social) evil. Social evil is the only evil we are tempted toward, because it is personal good.
While it's theoretical possible for life to never have any kind of shortage or competition, this is not even remotely life as we know it.
Love for example arises from the need to form groups for the sake of survival. Love does not exist in a world free from evil. Predators don't exist, hence humans don't exist.
Life without evil, is like a sport with no winners, no losers, no score and no conflict. Is that even a sport?
Life does not evolve with out evil, because survival of the fittest requires the death of the unfit. Life adapts the capacity to direct energy towards itself. But if energy cannot be directed away (aka evil) there is no need for adaptation.
The rabbit hole goes deeper, but I think you get the point.

The balancing scales between good and evil must exist. You can not have 1 without the other.
