I suggest that people connect across America who mistakenly voted for Bush, and start personally and publically asking Bush to "Stop the Iraq War Now!"

1. Voting for Bush wasn't a mistake.

2. Protesting a war gets you nowhere. 60s hippie wannabes have been protesting/marching for the past 3 years and they've accomplished NOTHING.

3. Because I have dignity. I was for the war when it started, and I'm for it now. I'm not going to flip flop and point the finger at Bush because it hasn't gone perfectly. Why aren't you holding all of your democratic leaders responsible for voting for that war?

Some people like President Bush and are on board with his attack of Iraq and the start of the war. They will support their president and their country even if they were killing babies in a far away land. Destroying a sovereign nations government, executing a elected president or terrorizing defenseless families from the sky.
They would line up to drink his sweat and covet pieces of a used facial tissue.
These sick people don't care about being right they only care about being in control.
Bushes devil may care, cowboy attitude appeals to a large segment of the population who believe its nothing wrong with being strong and wrong.
There are fanatical people who truly believed the U.S is suppose to rule the world.
THEY DON'T WANT HIM TO STOP.

Because, unlike past wars, there is no draft affecting the American people. Our lives haven't been substantially affect in this war and so the will to protest is weaker than in the past. I'm not saying anything critical about the American public, quite the contrary, I am impressed (and terrified) with the administration's strategy. People tend to think of things in the abstract unless they are directly affected by it. It's just human nature to do this.

Because unlike yesteryear's generation of campus protests and walkouts are a thing of the past. Today society and todays youth and the generation asfter them are much more apathetic toward what is wrong with this country. Our civil liberties are being curtailed one by one and we don't seem to care.
I highly recommend you watch this clip of Boston Legal from the episode "Stick it" to highlight my point.

Scroll down past the dialogue to watch. very powerful and contains two of my now favorite quotes from Adali Stevenson

What do you know that Bush and the top generals don't.
