They do actually work. I drink them from time to time; however, from my experience, its nothing magical like they advertise.. Just imagine drinking a bunch of coffee.. Too much can make you jittery.. But if you are really dragging they can pep you up a little. They arent gonna make you feel like you had a great night sleep if you didnt, you'll probably just stop yawning. The downside is when they wear off, I crash big time.

It depends on for what and what kind of energy drink? For example if you need a quick pick-me-up, red-bull is very good, but I would never recommend it or any cafinated drink before a physical competition. For that you need the non-cafinated carb or protein drinks. If not for extreme activity, you would think that these drinks don't do anything though. So it works both ways.

Caffeine is no placebo, but much of the rest of it is!
Vitamins are something else - I've been taking them for years. B Complex, E, Minerals. Do they do actually work? I've been really healthy and have good energy.
I'd recommend them!

Most give energy, but like alchaul it depends on the person. Small people get more energy, and women feel the efects even more. That is not a sexist comment just simple fact.

I never thought they did until this summer. I had been driving for 8 hours down south this summer and was over tired. Stopped for a few minutes - downed some energy drink - and wow! Really woke me up for the last few hours.

Most of them contain caffeine which is where you feel the energy burst from. I have tried the energy gels which do help me through a tough workout. I have also tried ginseng but haven't noticed much difference.

Caffiene, doesn't seem to effect me, I have read of heart, and other health issues from the herbs put into energy drinks, chest pain, high blood pressure, headaches, blurred vision to name a few.

i drank a red bull and ended up with one serious migraine. i just stick to multi-vitamins and a good workout. also...every body has different effects to energy drinks and pills. my body couldn't handle it.

I'm never gonna mess with that stuff again. i would be real careful and research the product.

I have tried every energy drink out there. They do not give me one bit of energy. I'm not saying they don't work for some people, but they don't work for me.
