What was an expectation or hope that you had that turned out to be something that just wasn't meant to be.

I actually don't believe there is such thing as "wasn't meant to be". I believe that is a phrase we made up to excuse our inability or unwillingness to follow through and persevere.
It's a jolly pat on the back to make one feel better for not believing hard enough. An escape from taking responsibility for ones actions.

Same as lots of other people, first marriage.
It could have worked out though, with more work and maturity.
My life hasn't turned out the way it was supposed to be, I don't have the wealth I need, or do I get to go on vacations all over the world.
Just me in my own little dot on the world.

Well for the past little while I really liked this person. Quite recently, however, I have realized that I and this person are just not meant to be. I have actually just started getting over it.

I liked this guy for 1 year and he totally rejected me and stopped speaking to me even though we were friends guess it wasn't meant to be

it never will be...
i have this feeling the relationship i am in is not meant to be but i have time to give it a try.....somethings deserve chances....the end will tell....and then i will be sure it never will be

I believe that everything I experience is meant for my good. It is up to me to be wise enough to sift through what I can and learn from my experience. So for me all that is, is meant to be; yet, I have to figure what's best meant for me. ..take care...

My first marriage that ended over 25 years ago (we were too young).......but we're still friends -- we have a 27 year old together.
