I have had that to happen numerous times.. If you have a match or lighter stick the end to the flame Not long but till it get a bit warm..then see if it will write.

light the tip with a lighter just for a few seconds, and you're off and running....

heat the tip ever so lightly with a match

quick heat to the tip helps some times ...very quick ...off and on
