5 + 4 = 9, so divide 8 by 9 parts. Each part would be 8/9 of a meter. Multiply 8/9 by 5, and then 8/9 by 4 to get the length of each part, which are 40/9 meters and 32/9 meters.

total 9 parts,
each part = 8/9m
one side = 5*8/9
