THe last number should be 29, not 39.

1+3=4, 3+4=7, 4+7=11, 7+11=18, 11+18=29, 18+29=47

47 is next

The next term in the sequence is the sum of the previous two terms. 18 + 39 = 57.

I assume this is a typo and the last element should be 29. In that case each element is the sum of the preceding two (similar to the Fibonacci sequence) and the next term is 18+29 = 47.

[edit]
It's interesting to see that there are a number of people here who think that 11 + 18 = 39. ;-)

[edit]
Make that a LOT of people. C'mon guys, pay a bit of attention, will you?
