I'm trying to write a persuasive essay about why agriculture was the most important aspect of the Industrial Revolution.

The points I've already brought up are ...

My guess would be that it laid the foundations for industrial productivity. Industrial agriculture tries to maximize output with as little work possible.
It also offered less work for people and thus led to people moving to bigger cities with more industry. In a way, agriculture indirectly caused the overcrowded cities.
