My mother is thinking of just ripping out the carpet and let the cool concrete be the living room floor... I'm a little skeptical. She's planning on getting the floors redone, but not atleast for another 6months or so. They company that is going to do it is booked up until about that time...

I hope not...carpets are nicer on the feet. Why? Do you have concrete floors? I never got your email btw.
