I ordered a crate amp off of ebay.com and the guy said its got a 3 year warranty that goes with it. But then he said that a technician just opened it to fix a sticky channel selector button, so would that void the warranty? Thanks.

More than likely the repair was done by a tech so you shouldn't have any problem there......but you need to make sure that the warranty is transferable.....trust me, you don't want to pay for an amp then have to come out of pocket to pay for repairs.......also get proof of when and where the repair was done.....later

If it was by an authorized repair facility, ask for the receipt of the repair. Keep in mind that the warranty may not extend to a second owner. Crate should have something about their warranty on their web site.
