I have a few times only because I really thought the question was interesting but I didn't know the answer to it. By starring it, I also brought it to the attention of my other contacts who happen to be online at the same time :)

sometimes i star a question and not answer it if I want to know the answer, but don't have one for the question.

Yes, maybe I found it intriguing, sad, or ......whatever reason it caught my attention I give it a star......not necessarily answer it tho. Maybe it is on a subject that I know little about.......
