Hi, I am wondering if putting in a #130 jet in my bike will give it better throttle response and run a lot better because i have a uni-air filter on my bike with a stock #120 jet and an after market exhaust from a 2003 cr80r bike which right know it won't even pull a wheelie or even spin the tires without stalling or bogging. Right know i have a #120 in it but i have a: #130,140, or 150 jet for it as spares just incase. We have tried adjusting it but we can't get a right setting the way my bike is. I just want to give it that much power to atleast have a challenge when racing my friends. Please answer because i need help badly. Thanks.

My bike doesn't have reed valves. it only goes in from the movement of the piston

Depending on the condition of your engine, there's no simple answer. Contact me for a carburetor trouble shooting guide.

Hello my friend; Have you checked on the Read-valve? could have a broken valve or fin the air will not mix if it is broke and give you a major bog out.
OK a pipe from an 80 cc NOT recommended. unless the back-pressure is needed for torque to pull a boat !! or did someone pull your leg and tell you that they used it on there bike just to make a buck on something going to the can???
Now as far as the jet what is the size of the carb? are you running the stock 28mm carb? moving up to a 32mm... The best way to increase power would be (if you remember our note from before) Read Valve and Pipe as a unit WITH the rite size carb. It is the same thing as a car. You must have the rite carb with cam and intake and converter and differential. etc... Now if you have done this and you still don't have the power you need replace the rear sprocket go up about 2 teeth you should have a 28 tooth on in now. E-mail me and I'll get you through it. It's hard for me to keep guessing when I can't see it....

you will need to fit a pipe that suits a 125, the pipe from the 80 will restrict the flow of the exhaust. when you have that fixed fit a boysen reed valve.
then you can start messing with jetting.

pull the plug & have a look... is it running rich or lean???

exhaust of an 80cc bike may be restricting the air flow as well??

to get the most out of it you need to find out if the fuel air mix is right first.. & then possibly try a different pipe.
