Selfishness is the primary motivating force. Altruism comes later.

In some ways, but when you think about it, we see examples of selflessness every day. When people hold a door for someone, press the elevator button for their floor, give change to a panhandler, donate to the PTA, let someone into their traffic lane, volunteer for Little League, become a Girl Scout leader, or a thousand other things we take for granted, they are showing humanity's kind, generous side. Millions of people donate to charity. Millions do volunteer work. We are social creatures, and success as an individual is intimately tied up with our success as social beings. Sure, we can be selfish sometimes, but we wouldn't have made it this far as a species if we always were.

Yes! In fact I don't care about human death because most don't care about other creatures like animals. They have feelings too and their expriments for whatever is hurting and killing them! plus, humans are the ones who are destroying the earth. I'm not saying i'm not a human, it's just people need to think!

Not necessary, because if humans were selfish then mothers would not take care of their children the way they do, nor would coaches or any other leaders of the world care for their followers or disciples.

i think the word selfish has been given a bum rap all these years
thinking of ones self, and self interest, is not a bad thing, its from that point that one can then reach out to others
its only when one can not consider others at all that it becomes a problem
i actually think most humans are prone to or conditioned to think of others before theirselves, sometimes to their own detriment

Yes. Even love is selfish with them, because it relies solely on the the feelings of the person feeling it and their perspective of who the person is that they are feeling it for.

Yes. Even things we do for other people are just so we can feel good about ourselves, or for the other person to feel good about us.
