I hope so. I also would love to see the Detriot Red Wings go but the Sabres might be able to win it this year.

Hell yeah they will! That do not have the pressure this year that they did last year. They have great talent in Vanek, Max, Roy, Pominville, Miller and a healthy Connolly! They also have guys like Stafford, Pat Kaleta who are ready to step up!

There are about 25 other teams I can see winning the cup before the Sabres. The Jackets are relying too heavily on Leclair's goaltending. If he fails, the team fails. That's not the making of a Stanley Cup team.

Sabres had too much talent in the past and alot was being held back of capable big point producers like Hecht and Kotalik for example because the big dogs ate all the points.
The Sens got better after losing Chara and Havlat, and i think the Sabres can surprise as well as Nashville who also had too much talent.

Too many teams in the East got stronger while the Sabres got weaker. If they couldnt do it last year, I highly doubt they can do it this year.

I hate to say this ( being a sabre hater) but the team has always had great talent. They will make it far but without drury and briere i doubt it.
