With this crazy unjust war going on, I wish you wouldn't at least for now. It would be a shame to get hurt when ur obviously your a smart and talented kid, and potentially have many options that will be available to you in the future.

First of all, make sure you keep your grades at that 4.0.

Then, you want to get involved in activities like school government, community service groups--any activities in which you can demonstrate that you are a responsible and motivated person with leadership potential.

You also need to keep your nose clean--be a model citizen and law abiding person.

You also want to think about working with some high profile political figures during your summers, etc. These people will be able to write you recommendations when it is time for you to actually apply to the academy. Find out who your elected representatives in Congress are, and contact their local offices. Explain that you want to get involved as an intern or volunteer for the Senator or Representative.

Good Luck--keep aiming high!!

Check what the guide lines are for getting in. Go talk to a recruiter and see what you need to do. DO NOT settle for less than you want. If you want to go to the academy, then don't let them talk you into something different. You have some time to get it all together, but that time will pass sooner than you think..
