Tending bar is not for everyone. Yes, the money can be quite good, but you're constantly exposed to the uglier side of human nature; when their inhibitions have been deactivated and they show how scared, desperate and lonely they all are. Unless you're tending a biker bar. Those folks treat their bartenders like royalty.
But, honestly, you really do need to have a particular mindset to do that job well.

Bar tending is not what every one thinks is an easy way to make money. It's hard work, and you have to put up with all kinds of people, some of whom you wouldn't want to have them share the Dog House with your pet. Because you are on the other side of the Bar doesn't mean that you have to kiss your customers a**, and you really don't have to put up with rude drunks. I tended Bar when I was of age in a resort for a Summer.and I wouldn't do it again for any amount of money.

Everyone's not cutout to be a bartender. You're on your feet all day, dealing with rude drunks, mixing specialty drinks, letting people cry on your shoulder, etc.

I own my little company , and I make what a bar keep get per month in three days . My brother is a bar man and he brings home about 2800.00 a week .

We would have to endure smoke and drunk people, AND know how to mix drinks and live off just tips.
