Buy a headset made for motorocycle helmet use. Industry standard is noise-cancelling boom mics with a wind sock. Goldwingers been using these for years. J&M is a dominate player in this field, and US made.

Throat mics are WW II technolgy, and do not give the most easily understood transmission. IMHO

Full face helmets or open? If the microphone is out of the wind regular if not around the neck it is.
