all the folks are (seemingly) gone!
what I like about this section of YA is that we ask nice, friendly innocuous questions, and for the most part we answer in kind. I was thinking, if I asked what's your favorite ANYTHING on another section I'd get a whole bunch of mean, smarta**ed answers, then I'd go to bed feeling sulky.
I've been to some of the other sections; I've even participated in some, but I always come back here.
so where is everybody??

Hi Min....I'm here too...for the first time in about three weeks! Just got back last from a long visit with my 91 year old father and sisters up in NY and had no access to a computor. Anyway, missed everyone here in Seniors and yup, it's definitely a nice group of people. Know what you mean about what happens when we venture into other areas of Y/A....I fondly call it the "dark side" because of all the slams and negativity. There ARE nice people there too, but the others make it discouraging. It's quiet and sane and comfortable here in Seniors. Anyway, you're not alone and I hope you're having a good night.Take care.

Well hello there Min,
I just happened upon your question never realizing there was a Senior Section. Wow! And, you are certainly correct about those wacked out responses on other sites, and those Trolls, UGH! They really wreck havoc. Well to answer your question as to where everyone is...I believe we are all watching the Ken Burns Documentary on "The War" on public television. As you will no doubt agree...anything Ken Burns does is nothing short of amazing.... Tune in from 8-10PM and then it gets repeated from 10-12. And then earlier this evening the Red Sox were on...and won.

Just finished watching "Gone in 60 Seconds"-loved it.
I usually go to bed around 1a.m. & check in here every so often to see what's new.
I'm 62, so not one who goes to bed early yet!
I agree about the other sections, you can get bit just answering a question let alone asking one.
We here, on this area, don't put up with that crap! We ask nicely about what we wish, & answer the same.
We sometimes bend the rules a bit-like thanking folks for their help instead of asking a question-which some of us get warned about from YQ&A, but it is a badge of courage to us & we know it is not going to affect our lives in any way. We don't really care about the points either just being together & having fun with new friends.
We tell jokes, stories, etc. & yes, ask questions. Then we do our best to help others no matter their age.

I am here off and on, talking to friends from China at the same time.
Watching the telly, reading, eating, sitting outside for awhile looking at the full moon, lying on my heating pad.
This is the second night I have been talking to my friends and I'm afraid I am already paying for it, so will be taking a break for the next few days I imagine, unless a full scale war breaks out - (sigh) I hope not.
I'm not a confrontational person, but there comes a time when you dont run from a fight, thats what my grandmother always said.

I just got home a while ago . My grandaughter takes drama lessons every Wednesday evening . Something is going on on seniors today ,but I can't quite figure out what yet. I did hear something about fur flying before I left so we may be in for a bumpy ride. I think we better keep our heads down!
