I do not believe that 911 was a government conspiracy but I do believe there should be another independent investigation because there are so many unanswered questions in people's minds. The families of the 911 victims were not satisfied with the 911 commission report and the theories that the government was behind it make our country appear in a bad light. This debate will go on for years to come.

Well, the 9/11 conspiracy theorists do a good job of presenting visual and interviw proof. I like the Loose Change documentary better than, for example, anything by Michael Moore. They just present something quite oinconceivable. I refuse to believe the US government would or could be competent enough to pull something like that off. I do wonder about some of the hard to rationalize with another means points like:
There is almost no wrekage from Flight 93, lots of jets crash and the wreckage site is pretty huge and impressive
Titanium doe snot vaporize at temperatures that jet fuel burns yet there were no titanium pieces in the towers
The whole in the Pentagon is too small for a plane to casue.
The video scenes from the gas station clearly show a lack of an airplane
Some anouncers describe the event before it happened or describe it looking like the first plane when they did not witness or even know there was a first plane, etc.
I don't buy it but its fun to puzzle over and they have produced good clear rational arguments, something I like to see.

the government had no part of it whatsoever... the whole "explosives in the building" story is a load of bologna.
The images of the WTC towers do seem similar to images of controlled demolitions. However, look at videos of controlled demolitions. The buildings begin their collapse at the level where the explosives were set off. If the explosives were on the 3rd floor, then, the building began to collapse at the 3rd floor.
Looking at the videos of the WTC, it is clear that the collapse initiated at the floors where the planes impacted, which means the explosives had to be at the floors where the planes impacted. Not many floors below as the “anti-government” conspiracy theorists claim.
Which means one of two things:
1) Either the explosives were in place prior to the impact and the pilots had to be extremely skilled to fly the planes into the towers at those specific floors, or
2) The explosives were placed AFTER impact.
Actually, #2 is not unreasonable. It is very possible that “suicide bombers” went into the building, disguised as emergency responders, climbed up to the appropriate floors and set off their bombs, hence, completing the destruction.
The problem is: Even Osama bin Laden did not expect the tower to collapse.
So, the whole theory behind explosives causing the towers to collapse has too many holes.
Some of these “anti-government” conspiracy theorists will argue that the burning fuel could not have caused the collapse of a steel and concrete building. They claim that the laws of physics make it impossible.
Their logic is this: jet fuel burns at 650 deg F while steel melts at 3000 deg F
Therefore, the fuel could not have caused the steel and concrete to collapse, so there had to be something else. (If fire could not harm the steel, why was the steel coated in heat resistant material?)
However, the theorsist fail to consider:
- the impact of the planes (hundreds of tons of metal and fuel) weakened the building.
- other materials in the building (furniture, paper, carpeting) burn at hotter temperatures
- steel loses half its strength at 650 deg F
- steel expands about 0.03% at 650 deg F (i.e., a 20 foot beam of steel will expand approximately ¾”, enough to snap a bolt stressed by the heat and impact.
One last “Ah-ha”. If their claim is correct, then why did the interstate overpass in Oakland CA collapse in April after a fuel truck flipped and caught fire? There was no impact, but, the fire clearly caused the “steel and concrete” structure to collapse. True – gasoline burns hotter than jet fuel (~1500 deg F), but that is still much lower than 3000 deg F. In summary, if their argument is correct, then, the laws of physics were defied in Oakland, so why not in NYC?

To further put the conspiracy theory to rest, I would add 4 points:
1. PENTAGON HOLE
Yes, the hole in the Pentagon was somewhat smaller than the diameter of the plane. This is explained by Professor Mere Sozen, a “Kettelhut Distinguished Professor Civil Engineering” at Perdue University. Professor Sozen says that it’s the energy of the plane, not its size, that determines the size of the hole. The plane is not a cartoon character that punches out its outline. Moving at 531 MPH it’s more fluid than solid, & this explains why you get the hole you got.
(Popular Mechanics "Debunking..." p 69)
2. VIDEO'S OF PLANE THAT HIT PENTAGON
The lack of videos is unimportant. Dozens, if not hundreds, of people stuck on I-395 saw the low-flying plane & their testimony is well-documented in the press. You can find a list of their names, what they saw (it was a plane), and what newspaper quoted them in the Wikipedia, Article on American Airlines Flight 77.
3. THERE ARE MANY PICTURES OF PLANE WRECKAGE AT THE PENTAGON
Here's a nice photo that clearly shows plane wreckage:
http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military_law/1227842.html?page=6#bigplane
(scroll down after clicking)
4. IF IT WASN'T PLANE, THEN WHERE DID AA FLIGHT 77 GO?
The explanation that it disappeared into thin air is not very convincing.

no one, even the commissioners themselves believe that the 9/eleven fee replaced into honest. you may learn that your self. additionally to reassure your self that a 757 hit the Pentagon, attempt and discover a video of that occuring. -in case you believe that none exists, then i assume you will believe something. So if one does exist, why are we no longer shown it? yet merely 5 frames showing a small fireball, and that fireball very a lot smaller than all of us know happens whilst an entire sized airplane slams right into a wall. i will see you have desperate which you will do the excellent you may to believe the respected conspiracy thought, it is how i began out off, i had to thoroughly discredit any thought that the Towers have been demolished, etc. yet regrettably, for my peace of techniques, i'm no longer quite stupid sufficient.

I don't believe it was any type of conspiracy. I never believed that our Government would plan to kill us, fail to protect us, yes, kill us, no. Terrorists are just that, people who by their deeds and actions terrorize. They certainly did that on 9-11. Nothing like having the foundation of my belief that something like that would never happen to us on American soil come crashing down.
No humour intended when I say that, that is the way I felt literally as I watched, with my Mom, on the television, the second plane hit.

Goodness gracious!!! The government is only made up of pure angels who would virtually lay their life down for each and every one of us.
They would never in their lives ever do us wrong.
They would rather lay down and die for us. Take the fall for us if we are harmed.
They would move heaven and earth for us.
Greed, money, corruption, lies, would be the last thing on their minds. Heaven forbid, it would never ever be on their minds.
And why should we be afraid?
I guess you realize that I'm being a little bit sarcastic tonight. Sorry but people really need to do more research and think more before just believing the first thing that they are told.

I love it when the media uses the word "conspiracy" to debunk the evidence. It is a trigger word for people not to research the truth...for it is out there and those buildings were detinated from the garages. the planes were the "hollywood" effect.
It sickens me to have to realize that some greedy americans in high offices arraged this...
the real information is out there to read.
the media still trys to cover it up..
it is too painful for americans to think their public servants are murderers...
You also believe too much in the propaganda of the day.

I think thre are a few people that believe that it was the US government. There are also a few that think they are abducted by aliens from outer space, or that there is a big foot.

I disagree with the conspirists claiming that the U.S. planned them.
However, I have considered that Bush knew about them and decided to let them go ahead, in hopes of creating a crisis. There is evidence pointing to this fact, and 'false flag' operations have been used MANY times in history.
Look at who has profited from the war. Understand that world leaders plan for what will happen 10 and 20 years down the road. Bush wanted oil. Period.
