thanks all of you guys for your responses.

in response to that unhelpful one about reporting her friends, you shouldn't be offended. you're friends weren't helpful, and they were rude and their comments were unnecessary, so next time one of your friends is reported and you go give that person a hard time, think twice about it. and you have no right to tell me i shouldn't be on here, i clearly have just as much of a right as you, if not more.

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.

In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.

Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.

In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.

If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

Pimple On Labia

2016-11-14 23:25:02 · answer #3 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

it's lymph (pus is the white stuff that comes out). it's best not to pop your pimples at all! it will make them more angry looking, last longer, and possibly infected. if you have already popped one though, you should put a warm compress on it, and then some salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. also- a bunch of these answers are terribly incorrect. please don't listen to the ones that say to squeeze it until the pus comes out, or if you squeeze it all out, it won't get infected. squeezing it actually just pushes it down lower into your skin; you only see a fraction of it come out on the surface. it will greatly increase the chances of infection.

It was probably a very painful infected gland or cyst, which are not uncommon. Sit in a warm bath to open it up and let all the bad stuff out, wash it well with antibacterial soap, and take an over the counter pain reliever. If it doesn't go away on its own in a day or two, contact your doctor, you may need antibiotics.

If you get another one I'd see the doc. It sounds like a boil- which can be rather painful- especially once popped open the first time, and given its location- gets a steady supply of bacteria to infect it with.

AND- BTW- STFU, that was reported. The word "reported" is not an answer.

If it is on your labia it is definitely not an ingrown hair. It is swollen because of the pressure you used to pop it. Try some warm salt water soaks with gauze or a clean wash cloth., replacing it when it cools. That should help. The Neosporin is a good idea. I hope it helps.....

Sounds like what i had. Could be Bartholin gland cysts. I had one which popped on its own. Which was quite painful. And two that the docs lanced. Two seperate times the docs lanced them. Which were barely noticable. It may come back since you popped it. Try heat and or sitz baths. When i had them lanced i worked that afternoon. Hope this helped. If needed see your gynecologist.

u'll be fine, but next time don't pop it, go to a gyno or give it time to go away on its on. It probably was aningrown hair as all the others said, but I'm not sure why you would have hair between your labia...if it persists, go see a doc!

Sounds normal. Most likely, what you are describing IS a pimple -- a blockage of a sebaceous gland that becomes infected.
