i left my computer in my car during a hot day. for the whole entire day. i was bringing it to my friends house but ended up changing plan. but i finally got home at night and took it out to plug it in. it turned on all the lights are on. but my screens says "no signal" what does that mean? i changed my video card back to the old one that used to be in it. and still "no signal" i took the old card and plugged it into an old computer of mines and it worked. so i was thinking it wasnt the video card. what could it be?

Hi. It is not the monitor. You may have had some cables come loose due to the heat and vibration (you drove the car, right?). Open the case and reseat all of your cables. Make sure the "On/Off" switch did not get switched. Good luck!

That means you didn't insert the monitor plug in the right spot. Make sure the plug at the back of the monitor and the plug at the back of the computer are both inserted correctly. If that doesn't work, try changing monitors.

I will guess[guess] that it is a static charge or a loose cable somewhere.
Check all cables closly.I have been building cpus for 7 years and still flub up at times.
If it is a static charge, unplug the mchine a simply wait a day, then try again. If this doesnt help try a cmos flash.this is a jumper on your motherboard labeled'JP?' the '?' is a number usually 1-12.
Or remove the small nickle sized battery[cmos clock] and wait a minute or two[machine power unplugged] then reinsert it.
I hope this has helped, keep us posted as we all love to learn and share new knowledge. :)
