I know its not possible to do and be worth it in the end, but does anybody know of someone ever trying and succeeding in anything like replacing an old laptops innards with new ones?

my uncle built kind of a redneck laptop(if thats the right name for it). He just got compatible laptop parts and put them together in his thin home made case.

Naw, that's not Redneck, that's Geek! That's called Computer Tech, of sorts, to some. You should follow your Uncle, he'll lead you in the right way!

Hi. I looked at doing that (well, building a laptop from scratch) but cost was much higher than a new machine. But anything is possible!
