i ask this question guys because my husband ex wife filed child support on him when they were still married living in the same house. he was still taking care of her, his daughter and her five kids and still paying child support for his own daughter!

the ex wife lied and said that he was not living in the house with her and her kids. the only reason why he did not press charges is because he did not want his daughter to hate him for having her mother locked up so he let it go.

some of you dont need to get affend i did not know that you could still file child support while still married living in the same house, no seperation still married being husband and wife and a family. i thought it could only be done if they get a divorce and go their seperate ways which he did divorce her for cheating on him with me and women. no i dont have this problem and no i would not file child support on my husband if he is still my husband, living under the same roof and taking care of me and his kids.

oh yes im very proud of my husband and he is a good man. i just thought that it was very selfish of her to do that to him and that is the point he is a good man. his daughter call us and tell us that she dosent get her child support money at all and she asks us for money every weekend and we give it to her. i have bought his daughter things and i enjoy buying her clothes and purses and shoes and things because i dont have any kids with my husband yet.

That's a difficult situation, but I'm pretty sure it was not a legal maneuver. The only exception would be if they were legally separated, even though they were living in the same house. Other than that, it just makes no sense! You should be proud of your husband for doing what was best for his child, and not being vindictive towards his ex. That's a good man!

If their legally seperated even if their under 1 roof then yes he should pay child support , obviously you have never been in this situation so your nievety over the issues surrounding seperation while staying in the same house is at the level its at.

I am in my 2nd husband's house I pay my board to him , I pay half the rates , half the electricity bill , half the phone and internet bill , I buy my kids and his and my son food , school things , clothing and shoes , so why shouldnt he pay me the measley 110 dollars a month in child support?I pay out almost 300 a week to the house. It works .

I don't think it is a matter of being right or wrong. In the state in which I live in, child support can only be ordered if the parents are not married to each other.

well if he's not supporting his child then sure i would try something like that, maybe that would wake him up, but if ur seperated and wanting child support then yeah thats a given there.

If he is not supporting the child. It's always right to file on him.

It would have been easy enough to prove he still lived there if he wanted to, then it would have been dropped.

If he isn't living with them he still needs to provide for them.
